About Giovannas Bistro, Coffee, Sweets & Snacks

Giovannas Bistro, Coffee, Sweets & Snacks is located in Glattpark, Opfikon, and offers a diverse selection of handcrafted donuts, fresh snacks, and aromatic coffees. Up to 40 different donuts are freshly prepared every day, including both filled and unfilled varieties. The bistro places great importance on quality and sustainability by trying to minimize food waste and selling the donuts on the same day they are produced. The menu includes not only the classic donuts but also seasonal snacks and a selection of drinks.

The bistro was founded by Robert and Giovanna Schefer-Jara, who lived for many years in San Francisco and brought their love of handmade donuts back from there. Since opening on February 13, 2020, the bistro has made a name for itself in the beautiful Wright building in Glattpark. Here you can enjoy not only delicious donuts but also excellent coffee variations and other homemade treats.

On the menu, customers also find various kinds of sandwiches, smoothies, and fresh cold drinks, as well as the popular Empanadas Argentinas. Giovannas Bistro thus offers a versatile experience for everyone looking for something special, whether for breakfast, lunch, or a sweet snack in between. The bistro is not only a place to enjoy delicious food and drinks but also a popular meeting point for local residents and employees of the nearby international companies.
