Kuratorium La Cravache

The Kuratorium La Cravache was founded on April 26, 1974 and has dedicated itself to the care and operation of the former Ofenhaus at the edge of the forest in Liebefeld. The municipality of Koniz granted the building under a building lease, and the association is administered by representatives of the Hessgut and Steinholzli schools and the Liebefeld-Leist. The association's board organizes the annual general meeting, in which delegates from these collective members take part. Thanks to a renovation, not only tailors but also family celebrations and business meetings could be hosted in a beautiful setting.

The Ofenhaus, in which the name "La Cravache" recalls the region's rich equestrian culture, has been part of the region since 1770. Originally it served as a bar for the Eldorado riding club, but after the riding stable moved away and the property was acquired by the municipality, it became the epitome of a lively and cultural community. After painful years of neglect and impending demolition, the renovation took place through the schools and the dedicated local population. Several hundred hours of work and donations of nearly 50,000 francs ensured that the Ofenhaus could be revived.

Today, the Cravache offers space for up to 30 people and is equipped with a modern kitchen that can be used for various occasions. Outdoors there are garden furniture, a grill and a children's playground. The Cravache is ideally located at the interface between nature and the city, which makes it particularly suited for events in a relaxed setting. This oasis is perfect for school events, private celebrations or workshops. The unique location, combined with the history of the place, makes the Cravache an attractive destination for various events.

A rental fee is charged for the use of the Ofenhaus, which varies depending on the day of the week. Members of the Liebefeld-Leist receive a discount, and use is subject to clear conditions in order to ensure the quality of the services.
