The emergency department of Spital Männedorf is available to you around the clock. Our goal is to ensure fast and efficient initial care for patients in acute emergency situations. In the case of minor accidents or illnesses, patients are advised first to consult their family doctor or to contact the cantonal emergency service. In the event of life-threatening emergencies, such as a heart attack or stroke, the emergency number 144 should be called immediately.

At the emergency department we also offer comprehensive initial medical care, covering the treatment of both injured and seriously ill patients. Our specialist physicians are competent and ready to help in various fields such as anesthesia, intensive care medicine, surgery and gynecology.

The emergency department is strategically easy to reach, and the required information is provided in a patient-friendly process. Patients are advised to bring personal documents such as their ID, insurance cards and a list of current medications in order to speed up the treatment process.

In an emergency we are optimally equipped to carry out immediate surgical procedures or intensive medical measures. In addition, an in-house rescue service is available when needed to quickly transfer patients to other hospitals. For urgent situations, a landing site for the REGA helicopter has been set up on the grounds.

For further information during a referral process, doctors and referrers can quickly and securely reach our on-duty physicians to exchange information about diagnoses and treatment plans. We work closely with referring doctors to ensure a seamless and safe handover of patients.
