Welcome to the Gasthaus zum Freihof, an idyllic place in Schmidrüti where traditional Swiss cuisine meets warm hospitality. Our guests can have fun in our lovingly designed play barn while enjoying the delicious dishes on our menu. In doing so, we place great value on regional products and cooperate with local producers to guarantee the freshness and sustainability of our dishes.

We offer a rich Sunday brunch, which takes place on the last Sunday of every month from 09:30 to 14:00. Enjoy a variety of fine regional specialties for only CHF 39 per person. For children we offer a reduced price of CHF 2 per year of age.

Our guesthouse is also ideal for celebrations and occasions. Whether birthday parties, christenings, or family celebrations, we provide the right setting for sociable hours. Our cozy dining room and the hall offer space for up to 30 people and create an inviting environment for unforgettable moments.
