Eulachpark

The Eulachpark is the largest park in Winterthur and represents a modern public park that offers space for play, exercise, walks, picnics, and rest. The park was created in the course of transforming a former industrial area in Oberwinterthur and, apart from the western section, has been fully completed. It stretches over an area of 54,623 m² and was awarded the "Golden Hare" by the architecture magazine Hochparterre in 2013.

Planning of the park began in 2002, when a competition was announced for its design. Of the 24 projects submitted, the designs "Cube" and "Brückenschlag" were selected. In the end, the city council decided on the "Cube" project, developed by Köpfli Partner GmbH in Lucerne. After a framework budget of 10.25 million francs and several construction phases, the park was inaugurated in 2010. In 2013, the multi-generation house Giesserei at the Eulachpark was ready for occupancy.

The Eulachpark invites all age groups to discover its varied leisure opportunities. Here visitors find both sports areas such as a mini-pitch and plenty of room for relaxation and social encounters. Good connections via bus lines 14 and 1, which run to the "Hegifeld" stop, also make the park easy to reach. The Eulachpark is not only a beautiful place for relaxation, but also a meeting point for the community, where various events are regularly held.

The park is far more than just a green space - it is an important part of the urban infrastructure that contributes to the quality of life in Winterthur.
