Restaurant Alpenhof

The Restaurant Alpenhof is idyllically located at 557 m above sea level above Küssnacht am Rigi and offers a unique combination of gastronomy and agriculture. In 1989, Emil Meyer took over the management of the family business from his father, Wilhelm Meyer, and after a comprehensive renovation the restaurant was reopened in spring 1990 by Monika Arnold and Emil Meyer. The atmosphere of the Alpenhof is familial and friendly, which is also reflected in the food and drink menu, carefully prepared with seasonal and regional products.

In spring 2018, a new, larger restroom facility was put into operation to offer guests more comfort. The kitchen was expanded again in 2019 in order to be able to offer a more extensive menu. Among the house specialties is the "Heisser Stein" (hot stone), which is served on Saturdays or by advance order for groups of four people or more. The large parking lot is a practical solution so that guests can arrive without worry.

The restaurant is also set up for school groups and offers free apple juice for pupil groups. These can register via the registration form on the website. The Alpenhof's opening hours are generously designed: Wednesday and Thursday continuously from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 11:00 p.m., and Sunday until 8:00 p.m. (kitchen closes at 6:45 p.m.). The cozy, inviting premises, including a playground, make the Alpenhof an ideal destination for families, day-trippers, or anyone who wants to spend a relaxing time in nature.
