PD. Dr. med. Florian Hess

PD. Dr. med. Florian Hess is a highly competent specialist in orthopedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system as well as in surgery. He specializes in particular in shoulder and elbow surgery and has performed over 3,600 shoulder operations and over 900 elbow operations, most of them minimally invasive. Dr. Hess has many years of experience as team leader for the upper extremities at the Eastern Switzerland cantonal hospitals and is actively involved in research. He has currently published 40 scientific papers that contribute to the further development of shoulder and elbow surgery.

Through his specialization, Dr. Hess is able to treat a wide variety of conditions of the shoulders and elbows. These include both conservative and surgical treatment approaches. Special procedures include arthroscopies, rotator cuff reconstructions, and prosthetic operations. He uses the latest scientific findings to provide his patients with the best possible care.

Dr. Hess's consultations take place in Winterthur, with patients from the regions of Frauenfeld and Thurgau being just as well cared for as those coming from other cantons. His goal is to sustainably improve the mobility and quality of life of his patients.
