Familiengarten Hinterberg

Familiengarten Hinterberg is an allotment garden site in the Hinterberg area in 9014 St. Gallen. Like other sites of its kind, it consists of many individual plots that are leased and cultivated by hobby gardeners themselves.

The principle is simple and time-tested: each member tends their own plot and grows vegetables, fruit, herbs or flowers there. A Familiengarten combines the benefit of growing your own produce with relaxation, exercise and a sense of community. The shared infrastructure and paths are looked after by the gardeners, which strengthens the local sense of togetherness.

It appeals to people from St. Gallen who are looking for a patch of green to tend themselves – whether for growing vegetables, as a nature-based hobby or as an outdoor retreat. Familiengarten Hinterberg offers a green setting for exactly that in St. Gallen.
