Anwaltskammer Kanton St-Gallen

The Anwaltskammer Kanton St. Gallen is based at Klosterhof 1 in St. Gallen and belongs to the field of legal services. It is not an ordinary law firm but an institution within the legal profession at cantonal level.

Within the Swiss legal system, a bar chamber typically carries out tasks relating to the supervision and regulation of the legal profession. This includes the area of admission, professional rules and upholding the profession's duties. For the public, such a body is primarily relevant as an official point of contact for questions concerning the legal profession and its framework.

It therefore addresses less the individual seeking help with a specific case, and more people and bodies who wish to engage with the legal profession in the Canton of St. Gallen, the applicable rules or the responsible institution.
