At the Center for Infectious Diseases of the Klinik Im Park, comprehensive workups of fever conditions and inflammations are carried out for both outpatients and hospitalized patients. When needed, diagnostics are performed in close collaboration with various specialist physicians as well as specialized laboratories. If an infection caused by bacteria, parasites, fungi, or viruses is identified, specific treatment is initiated depending on the respective illness. One focus lies on the treatment of complicated infections that can only be treated with intravenous medication, which includes, for example, Lyme borreliosis, which is preferably treated on an inpatient basis.

The center specializes in the treatment of a wide range of viral and bacterial diseases, including hepatitis B & C, herpes, HIV/AIDS, and specific infections of the heart valves (endocarditis), the skin (recurrent abscesses), the bones (osteomyelitis), as well as of foreign materials (prosthesis infections). Lung diseases such as pneumonia and tuberculosis, as well as systemic infections such as Lyme borreliosis and syphilis, are also among the treatment priorities. In addition, the center provides special treatments for infections with multidrug-resistant pathogens. The Klinik Im Park, a renowned health center on the left bank of Lake Zürich, offers a 24-hour emergency unit, an intensive care unit, and access to over 400 specialist physicians who ensure high-quality medical care. The center thereby serves as an interface for comprehensive infection diagnostics and therapy.
