Fabio Don Architect ETH SIA

Fabio Don is an architect who graduated from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) in 2009. In the same year he opened his own office in Zurich. His practice focuses on fundamental questions of architecture as well as on the intersections between design and photography, combining research, writing, teaching and building practice. In recognition of his achievements he received the ESKAS Excellence Scholarship for foreign scholars from the Swiss government in 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2006 he worked as a research associate at Lausitz University of Applied Sciences, and between 2009 and 2015 he was both a research scientist and a teaching assistant at ETH. He has also published in various architecture magazines such as Cosa Mentale (Paris), Classeur (Paris), CAN Actions Magazine (Kyiv) and Trans Magazine (Zurich). Together with Claudia Mion he co-edited the book "Peter Märkli - Drawings" (2015). His work has been shown at significant exhibitions such as the 2nd Architecture Biennale in Rotterdam (2005), at the Kunstmuseum Arbon (2014) and at Milan Design Week (2011-2015). In 2019 he was nominated as a Selected Creative 2019 by the Future Architecture Platform. He currently collaborates with the Mies van der Rohe Foundation in Barcelona, the SAM Swiss Architecture Museum in Basel, the CAN Actions School Program in Kyiv, and the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
