J.B. Labat Spirituosen & Spezialitäten has been a fixture of the lively Zürich bar scene since 2012. Nestled in the dynamic Kreis 4, our business initially began with a strong focus on rum, inspired by the notable Dominican monk Père Labat, who worked in the French Antilles in the 17th century and revolutionized rum production. The history of our premises is equally fascinating: until 2007, cars were repaired here before the Galerie Freymuth-Guth exhibited contemporary art. On November 15, 2012, our spirits store opened its doors. The ambiance in our shop is shaped by venerable pharmacy furniture that was crafted more than 100 years ago in Tuttlingen, Germany, and creates a unique atmosphere.

Today our range spans an impressive selection of high-quality spirits from all over the world. We import many products directly and work closely with global trading partners as well as local producers and bottlers in Switzerland. Our focus is on supporting innovative and high-quality producers. In addition, we regularly develop and produce our own products to expand our offering.

At our store on Brauerstrasse, visitors can expect an even larger selection than in the online shop. Here you'll find limited bottlings, rare single bottles, and exciting new products that are often sold out before they become available online. We therefore recommend a personal visit to benefit from our knowledge and passion.
