The Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Zürich is a central facility that offers a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art imaging technologies and innovative interventional procedures. Our experienced team of specialist physicians, radiologists and medical technologists ensures precise diagnosis as well as effective therapeutic interventions in a pleasant and patient-friendly environment. Within diagnostic radiology, we use highly modern procedures such as CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, tomosynthesis and fluoroscopy. These technologies enable us to gain detailed insights into the interior of the body in order to detect and treat conditions early. The interdisciplinary approach of our facility allows us to work closely with other specialties and to offer nearly seamless medical care.

In interventional radiology, we use imaging procedures in order to carry out precise therapeutic interventions, particularly in the areas of tumor and vascular conditions. This encompasses minimally invasive procedures that are not only effective but also gentle for the patients. In addition, our institute is engaged in research, whereby new techniques and methods are continuously developed in order to steadily improve patient care. We also offer education and continuing education for medical staff and support radiological institutes outside the USZ.
