Birthlight Yoga

Birthlight is a welcoming space for pregnant women, mothers, and fathers in Zurich, offering a variety of services for the perinatal journey. The philosophy of Birthlight focuses on empowering women in their special phases of life, beginning with pregnancy, through birth, and into the postnatal journey. The classes are designed to address the needs of mothers not only physically but also emotionally. Small groups ensure that individual care and space for personal interaction are provided.

Birthlight's offering includes pregnancy yoga, which provides gentle support to women during every phase of pregnancy. The classes are specifically attuned to the physical and emotional changes during pregnancy. In addition, there are birth preparation courses in which, week by week, techniques for breathing, movement, and hypnosis are taught, helping mothers enter the delivery room with confidence and calm.

For the transition into family time, postnatal courses are also offered, aimed at helping mothers regain their strength after birth. Here the focus is on restoring pelvic floor and core strength in a calming environment that makes it possible to rediscover oneself, either with or without the baby.

The courses and therapies have been led by experienced specialists since 2007 and are recognized by well-known health organizations such as EMR and ASCA. The warm-hearted teacher, Katia, places particular value on ensuring that every participant feels safe and heard. With over 20 years of experience, she offers not only group instruction but also individual sessions.
