Arche Brockenhaus

The Arche Brockenhaus in Zurich-Altstetten is a social enterprise that offers a wide-ranging assortment of inexpensive, curious and well-preserved second-hand items across two floors and an area of around 1,200 m². Here visitors will find everything from vintage furniture to unique rarities. The offering is not only affordable but also sustainable, as it helps conserve resources and extend the life cycle of products. In addition to second-hand goods, the Brockenhaus also offers a free pickup service for well-preserved donations in Zurich. These donations are of great importance to the organization, as they help finance the social projects and jobs for people in difficult life situations.

A special highlight of the Arche Brockenhaus is the music café, where visitors can listen to CDs and records in peace. A repair service is also offered, in which valuable devices are not thrown away but repaired, embodying the principle "repair instead of discard." Work integration is another aspect the Brockenhaus provides; around 45 employees work here as part of their social integration and thus have the opportunity to reintegrate into the job market.

The Brockenhaus also organizes various events, including workshops and sales promotions, to foster exchange and community spirit. Visitors are warmly invited to drop by, shop or learn about the various socially responsible projects.
