The "Lokum pop up restaurant & bar" in Zürich is more than just a restaurant – it is a place of encounter, a meze bar by the river, where Turkish cuisine and the atmosphere of a meyhane come together. Inspired by memories of long family meals in Ankara, Lokum offers its guests an invitation to gather without much planning and to enjoy a journey through Turkish gastronomy. The opening took place in the summer of 2025, originally intended as a temporary experiment. Due to the positive response, the concept has grown and taken on various formats, all drawing on the same idea: food, music, and an inviting atmosphere provide a wonderful space for gatherings.

Lokum's cuisine is deeply rooted in Turkish tradition, yet shaped by the surroundings and the people who visit it. In addition to an extensive menu, the restaurant also regularly offers changing pop-up dinners where new culinary ideas are experimented with. The dishes are served in traditional presentations on a tepsi, a Turkish serving tray, which makes the experience even richer. Summer is used to enjoy the food culture in a relaxed setting by the river, where the water, the food, and the music blend harmoniously with one another.
