Stiftung Tierrettungsdienst

The Stiftung Tierrettungsdienst is a dedicated organization committed to rescuing and caring for animals in need. For over 30 years, we have been committed to animal welfare on various levels, whether through our animal rescue services, the care of animals in our shelter, or by imparting knowledge about species-appropriate husbandry and animal welfare. Our main task is to rescue injured, abandoned, or missing animals and to give them a second chance in life.

At Tierrettung Schweiz, we work with a highly qualified team and state-of-the-art equipment in order to ensure a fast and effective response. Our network extends across all of Switzerland, so that we can help wherever animals are in need. The telephone emergency number is available around the clock in order to provide immediate help in critical situations.

Our animal shelter, the Pfötli, offers a safe environment for animals that need to be housed temporarily. Here, we lovingly care for our charges and prepare them for a new home. As part of our educational work, we impart knowledge on topics of animal rescue and animal welfare in order to deepen understanding of the needs of animals. We offer various courses conducted by experts in order to further improve the quality of animal welfare measures.

Our foundation has expanded significantly in recent years and today cares for over 2,000 animals annually. We are proud that, through donations and voluntary commitment, we can achieve a lasting impact and offer professional help to every animal.
