Praxisgemeinschaft Altstetten

The Praxisgemeinschaft Altstetten (PGA) was founded in 1998 by two physicians with the goal of offering comprehensive primary care. The PGA is committed to collaborative, evidence-based medicine and ensures the continuous training of its physicians in weekly quality circles. Today, three owners, Dr. med. Christen, Dallafior, and Simic, work in the practice, complemented by Dr. med. Chiara Montagna and med. pract. Kathrin Pfrunder as a general practitioner. In addition, the PGA functions as a training practice; in collaboration with the Institute of General Practice of the University of Zürich and the medical clinic of the Stadtspital Triemli, specialist physicians are introduced to general practice medicine each year.

The practice offers a variety of internal medicine workup options and modern infrastructure, including an in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, resting and stress ECG, 24h blood pressure measurement, lung function tests, ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, as well as an in-house pharmacy. Patients have the option of obtaining all needed medications at no additional cost, which makes the practice a convenient point of contact for medical needs.

A new service of the PGA is the digital telephone assistant LEONIE, which answers calls and records inquiries in a structured way in order to speed up processing. This intelligent, AI-supported solution supports patient communication in several languages and improves organization without long waiting times arising. The Praxisgemeinschaft Altstetten places great value on individual care and also wants to foster future generations of well-trained physicians.
