Restaurant Vereinigung, a rustic meeting point in the heart of Zurich, was taken over in the summer of 2022 by us, a team of passionate gastronomy advocates. Our restaurant has a long history dating back to 1892, when it was founded to celebrate the incorporation of Wiedikon into Zurich. This tradition-rich tavern has changed considerably over the years, was once a popular meeting point for various social groups and has always played a significant role in the neighborhood.

Our concept is based on the experience of being a neighborhood restaurant that brings people together. We are happy to serve a broad range of guests – whether you want to enjoy an extended dinner or simply an after-work beer. Hospitality is at the center of what we do. For this reason, we also rely on a conscious selection of products and seasonal dishes, which we always prepare fresh.

The menu reflects our philosophy: we use high-quality, regional ingredients and deal consciously with seasonal offerings. Every dish is prepared from scratch, including our well-known fresh sourdough breads and homemade sauces. In addition, we always offer vegetarian and vegan options. The culinary inspiration comes not only from Switzerland but also from other European cuisines. Occasional events also make our restaurant even livelier.

Everyone is welcome here, whether for a cozy get-together or for a quick meal. We strive to create the experience of a cozy meal from aperitif to digestif, and invite you to share food and drinks in a casual atmosphere. Restaurant Vereinigung is a place of coming together, where both tradition and innovation have their place.
