Yardbird Southern Fried Chicken is the newest restaurant concept from Thomas and Kirtanya von Matt, the owners of the Von Matt Hospitality Group (VMHG). This group is responsible for several restaurants in Zürich, including The Bite Gourmet Burger Restaurant, Brisket Southern BBQ & Bar, and LA Brea SoCal Tacos. At Yardbird, our goal is to serve the best fried chicken you have ever tasted. Our chicken is brined for 24 hours and then fried to perfection with a crispy buttermilk crust. All chicken options can be ordered as wings or as a half chicken. We also offer the option of preparing most dishes vegetarian or vegan by using Planted™ chicken. We place great importance on our chicken being fully sourced locally in Switzerland. Our philosophy is simple – wherever possible, we work with regional products. Yardbird's menu reflects the diversity of fried chicken, inspired by various styles from Atlanta, Nashville, and St. Louis.
