The Department of Neurosurgery of the University Hospital Zürich offers highly specialized and modern medical care for conditions of the brain as well as the spinal cord. The department's focus areas lie in the therapy of brain tumors, vascular conditions, epilepsy as well as movement disorders in adults and children. Furthermore, we treat spinal cord tumors, herniated discs, spinal canal stenosis and cerebrospinal fluid drainage disorders. Our specialist physicians use state-of-the-art surgical techniques, including intraoperative imaging through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), neurophysiological monitoring, computed tomography (CT), minimally invasive procedures and computer-guided techniques, in order to achieve optimal results for our patients.
